I’ve had the unfortunate circumstance of disappointing a client by finishing their project a bit late. While this wasn’t on purpose, I felt bad that they were upset, and I had a few ways to fix the problem. Instead of just telling them that it was going to be late, I sent a gift card to a nearby coffee shop so they could go and relax while they waited.
